This Patagonian rabbit is not the same as wild rabbits from Argentina.

Many people call them "Gentle Giants." This is because they are docile. Docile means they are calm and easy to handle.

Because they are calm, they make good pets. Some kids use them in 4-H programs. These programs teach kids how to care for animals. One rabbit named Alex the Great was even a therapy animal. This means he helped people feel better. These rabbits are also popular at shows. People like to see their large size and many colors.
