Lippi's journey into art began in a very simple way. As a boy, he loved to draw on his school books. A leader at his school noticed this talent. The leader decided to help him learn to paint. Lippi was deeply moved by the beautiful paintings in the Brancacci chapel. He studied the style of the painter Masaccio. Many people said Lippi's work showed the same spirit as Masaccio. He used different methods like tempera on wood and large frescoes on walls.
