Fakt is a big daily newspaper in Poland. It is published in Warsaw. A company called Ringier Axel Springer Polska makes it. Many people in Poland buy this paper. In 2003, it sold 715,000 copies. This made it the best-selling paper in the country. It was modeled after a German paper called Bild.

Fakt uses a style called tabloid journalism. This means it often uses big, exciting stories to get attention. Some people do not like this style. The Polish Journalists Association gave Fakt two awards. They called it the "Hyena of the Year." This was because they felt the paper did not follow news rules.

The paper has also faced trouble in court. Once, it told a story about a man that was not true. A court told the paper to say sorry in many places. The editor had to pay money to the man. That man gave all the money to a hospital. The paper has also faced criticism for how it shares sad news.
