Evaluation

society Maturity 5-7 Next article →

Evaluation is a way to check the worth of something. People use it to see if a project or plan is working. It helps people make good choices for the future. Evaluation can happen in many places. It is used in art, health care, and even by the government.

There are two main ways to do this. One way is called formative evaluation. This happens while a project is still growing. It helps make the work better as it goes. The other way is called summative evaluation. This happens after a project is finished. It looks at what was learned from the work.

Doing a good evaluation takes time and money. It also needs experts to do the work. These experts must follow rules to be fair. They must be honest and stay neutral. This means they should not take sides. They must also respect the people they study. They keep secrets safe and treat everyone with dignity. This makes the results useful for everyone.
