This dinosaur was a sauropod. That means it was a plant-eating dinosaur with four legs. Most sauropods were very big. But Europasaurus was small. It was an island dwarf. This happens when a group of animals lives on an island. The small space makes them stay small over many years.

People found the first tooth in 1998. It was found in a rock pit. Later, they found many bones. Some bones were part of a skull.

Working in the pit was hard. The rocks stood up straight. Workers had to move 600 tons of rock to find more. They found many bones in one layer. Some bones were even found in a single block.

Many of these bones are in a museum. They help us learn how this small dinosaur lived.
