One star is very strange. Its name is Achernar. It is at the end of the river. Achernar spins very fast. This spinning makes the star look flat. It is much wider at its middle than at its top or bottom.

Many stars in this group live in pairs. These are called binary stars. This means two stars orbit one another. Some groups have even more stars. One system has three stars. They move around each other in a dance.

One star is named Epsilon Eridani. It is near Earth. It has a large planet. This planet is like Jupiter. It takes seven years to go around its star.
