Bullies use many ways to hurt others. They might post mean rumors. They may use fake profiles to hide their names. This is called anonymity. Some people use doxxing. Doxxing is sharing a person's private info, like their home address. Others use trolling. Trolls post mean things just to get a reaction. There is also cyberstalking. This is a very serious form of harm. It involves threats to a person's safety.

Many places have made new laws to stop this. These laws help protect people from online harm. Some researchers say the COVID-19 pandemic made it worse. This is because people spent more time online. However, some studies show that parents can help. Parents can watch online activity to keep kids safe.
