Qin Uprisings

One day, Chen Sheng and a man named Wu Guang led 900 men. They had to reach a place called Yuyang. Big storms blocked their path. The law said they would be killed if they were late. To save themselves, they started a rebellion.

Many people joined them because they felt the Qin rulers were unfair. More than 20,000 men joined the fight. Chen Sheng became the "King of Rising Chu." He sent generals to take over new lands.

But things did not go well. The Qin army was very strong. Chen Sheng was also a very harsh leader. He would kill generals if he heard bad rumors. Because of this, his own men did not trust him. Many of his generals left him to rule their own lands.

Chen Sheng died in 208 BC. A guard killed him. His fight only lasted five months. Still, his actions helped end the Qin dynasty. He gave others the spark to stand up.
