The Cassini–Huygens mission was a big trip to Saturn.

It was a team effort. NASA, the ESA, and the ASI worked together. The mission had two main parts. The Cassini orbiter circled the planet. The Huygens probe was made to land on a moon.

This moon is named Titan.

The mission launched on October 15, 1997. It took almost seven years to reach Saturn. Once it arrived, the orbiter stayed there for 13 years.

On January 14, 2005, Huygens landed on Titan using a parachute. This was the first time a craft landed on a moon in the outer Solar System.

Cassini studied many things. It looked at Saturn's rings and its many moons. It also watched the clouds in Saturn's atmosphere. The mission ended on September 15, 2017. The craft fell into Saturn and burned up. This was done on purpose. Scientists did not want the craft to crash into any moons. They wanted to keep the moons safe from Earth germs.
