CARICOM helps its members trade with each other. It also helps them work on one plan for the world. The group has 15 member states. It also has five associate members. The main office is in Georgetown, Guyana.

In the past, most members spoke only English. Now, they use many languages. They use English, Dutch, French, Haitian Creole, and Spanish. This helps everyone talk and work together.

In 2001, the group made a new plan. This plan helped create a single market. This makes it easier to buy and sell things. Some members even allow people to move freely between lands.
