Bhilwara is a big city in Rajasthan, India. It sits in the Mewar region. The city is near Ajmer to the north. It is also near Udaipur and Chittorgarh to the south. People call it the "textile city." This is because it makes a lot of cloth. There are more than 850 factories in the town. They make cotton, silk, and wool. They even make fabric for trousers. This cloth is sent to many countries.

Many rivers flow through the area. These include the Banas and the Kothari rivers. There are no natural lakes here. Instead, people use many ponds and dams. This helps them water their farms. One famous spot is Mansarovar Jheel. It is a man-made pond near Azad Nagar. It gets very crowded on weekends.

Bhilwara has a very old history. People found stone tools there from a long time ago. The city is also known for art. Artists make Phad paintings. These are stories painted on cloth using natural colors. You can also visit the Bada Mandir. This is an old temple built in the 11th century.
