History is found all over Beheira. There are many archaeological sites to explore. You can find them in Abu El Matamir and Abu Hummus. They are also in Damanhour, Rosetta, and Kafr El Dawwar. At Kom El Giza and Kom El Hamam, people found very old things. These include coins, lamps, animal bones, and pottery. These items are from the Roman and Byzantine eras. These finds help us see how people lived long ago.

Religious history is also very important here. Wadi El Natrun is home to many Coptic monasteries. In Hosh Issa, experts found a building from the 5th century. This site is called Qalaye. It was a monastic guesthouse for monks and visitors. This building shows how religious life began to change. It moved from being very isolated to being more communal. This discovery helps us learn about early monastic life.
