society Maturity 11-13 Next article →

A bank robbery is when someone steals money from a bank. They might use force or threats to take it. Most robberies happen in cities. Banks are close together in cities. This gives robbers many ways to escape. But it also helps the police. Police can get to cities very fast. They can use photos to find robbers too. Many robbers are caught on the same day.

Many robberies are "note jobs." A robber gives a note to a teller. They ask for money quietly. This way, other people in the bank might not know. Most banks tell staff to stay safe. They will give the money to avoid fights.
