He made art using stone and metal. He studied how to carve stone and how the human body looks. Early in his life, he moved to Paris. He met many famous artists there.

Breker is well known for his work in Nazi Germany. He was the official state sculptor for the leaders. He made large statues like "Die Partei." This statue represented the spirit of the Nazi Party.

He also made a statue of a runner called "The Decathlete." This work won a silver medal in 1936.

Many of his works were destroyed during the war. After the war, Breker lived in West Germany. He made many portrait busts, which are small statues of heads. He also worked as an architect. Some people argue about his art today. They disagree because of the leaders he worked for.

Some people say he only took their money. A museum for his work opened in 1985. It is located at Schloss Nörvenich.
