In Rome, he made a tomb for Cardinal Guillaume de Braye. This tomb had a statue of the Madonna. He used an old Roman statue as his model. Arnolfo also worked on a monument for Pope Boniface VIII. He was a skilled architect too. In the year 1300, he was the head of works for the Florence Cathedral. He also designed the sixth city wall for Florence. His big works changed how cities look today. Many people think he made the bronze statue of St. Peter. His style of making tombs became very famous. He even had his own workshop with many helpers. These helpers helped him finish his large projects.
