Later, a sacred tooth relic arrived from India. The kings kept this tooth to show their power. The kingdom relied on farming. Kings like Vasabha and Mahasena built many large tanks. These tanks held water for crops. This helped the country grow its own food. Many South Indian leaders tried to take the land. Kings like Dutthagamani and Valagamba fought to keep it. Eventually, the kingdom fell after many years of rule.
