This group of kings ruled from the mid-1500s to 1752.

It started with King Mingyi Nyo. His son was King Tabinshwehti. He brought many lands together. He moved the capital to Bago. This helped with trade. Then came King Bayinnaung. He was a strong leader. He made the empire very large. It was one of the biggest in Southeast Asia.

After Bayinnaung died, the empire fell apart. But the dynasty came back. This was the Nyaungyan period. Leaders like Anaukpetlun made the kingdom strong again. They made new rules for the land. They sent officials to rule different areas. This helped the economy grow for many years.

Later, the kingdom began to face problems. Some people fought against the kings. In 1740, the Mon people started a rebellion. In 1752, the Mon armies captured the city of Inwa. This ended the long Toungoo rule.
