He found a way to show how the human population grew very fast. He says that more people can lead to more new inventions. These new tools help the Earth support even more people. This creates a loop where technology and people help each other grow. He even used math to show how the world's wealth grew alongside people. This helps us see how the whole world works together as one system.

His journey as a scientist began in Moscow.

He and his colleague Alexander Markov found that nature follows math patterns too. They saw that the variety of living things grows in a way similar to humans. This is called a hyperbolic pattern. He also studies how the whole planet has become more complex over billions of years. He even looks at how people live in cities. His math helps us understand these huge changes in nature and society.

Sometimes, his math helps us understand big events in the news.
