He is known for his ideas about Eurasia. This is the belief that Russian-speaking people should live in one large country.

Dugin writes many books about how countries should act. His most famous book is called Foundations of Geopolitics. In it, he says Russia should build strong ties with others. He wants to challenge the power of the United States. He calls the West an "Atlanticist" empire.

His ideas are often called far-right. He wants a strong state and healthy families. He also believes religion and the Church should be important in society. He does not like liberal democracy. He says he wants a "conservative revolution" in Russia.

Dugin has worked as a teacher at a school in Moscow. He also supports the leader of Russia, Vladimir Putin. Some people say he is a close advisor to him. In 2022, his daughter Darya died in a car bombing.

This was a very sad event for him.
