Berg wrote many big works. He wrote an opera called Wozzeck. This work helped him find great success. He also wrote an opera called Lulu. He worked on a Violin Concerto near the end of his life. This piece was very sad and beautiful. It was dedicated to the memory of a young girl.

Life was not always easy for Berg. In the 1930s, some leaders in Germany did not like his music. They called it degenerate music. This made it hard for him to have concerts. Berg died in 1935 from blood poisoning. He was fifty years old. Today, people still study his work. His music is a major part of history.
