Webern's music was very special. He used a new way to write notes. This is called the twelve-tone technique. His songs were often very short and poetic. He wrote about big ideas like love and nature. As a boy, he loved the outdoors. He spent summers in the mountains and green fields.

Life was not always easy for him. He faced hard times in Austria and Germany. He worked hard to help his Jewish friends. Later, a soldier accidentally killed him after a war. Even so, many people still study his work. His music changed the way people think about sound. It led to new styles of music for many years.
