The weather is hot and humid. Many coconut trees grow on the islands. People there make coconut oil to sell. You might also see a special lizard called the Agalega day gecko.

About 330 people live there. Most live in small villages. The North Island has the capital, Vingt-Cinq. It also has an airstrip for small planes. There is no running water. People catch rain in gutters to drink. They also use wells.

Life on the islands has changed over time. New work for the Indian military is happening there. This has changed how the islands look. In December 2024, a big storm called Cyclone Chido hit the North Island. It destroyed many homes and took away the power.
