For a long time, early societies were hunter-gatherers. They found wild fruits, vegetables, and nuts to eat. They also hunted animals for food. Later, people began to farm. They grew crops like millet and sorghum. This change led to many different food traditions. Many traditional dishes focus on plants and seeds.
