The club is also famous for its focus on a youth system. This system is designed to scout and develop young talent. This dedication to training new players has helped the club remain competitive for decades.

The club operates through a deep commitment to player development. They use a specialized youth academy to find young athletes. These players are trained to play a specific style of football. This process involves spotting talent early and teaching them professional skills. This method has produced many world-class stars. The club's success relies on this constant cycle of training and promoting new players. This approach allows them to compete against much larger teams.

Ajax has achieved many different types of success in football. They have won the KNVB Cup, which is the national cup of the Netherlands. They have also won the Eredivisie, the national league championship. On a larger scale, they have won major European trophies. These include the European Cup, the Cup Winners' Cup, and the UEFA Cup. They are one of only five clubs to win all three major UEFA club competitions. They have also won the Intercontinental Cup twice.

They won five national championships during those years. In 1956, Ajax became a founding member of the professional Eredivisie league. They were the first national champions under this new professional format. The club has since grown into a global football powerhouse.

Specific numbers highlight the scale of Ajax's achievements. The club holds records with 36 Eredivisie titles and 20 KNVB Cups.
