The leaders were Franklin D. Roosevelt from the United States. He was the President. Winston Churchill was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Joseph Stalin was the leader of the Soviet Union. They met in big palaces to talk about the future.

The leaders wanted to fix Europe after the war. They made a promise called the Declaration of Liberated Europe. This said that people should choose their own governments through free elections. They also talked about Germany. They decided to split Germany into four zones. Each zone would be run by a different group. They wanted to make sure Germany could not start another war. This meant taking away its weapons.
