The site features monolithic stupas and rock-cut caves. Pavurallakonda is a hillock that contains 16 rock-cut cisterns used for collecting rainwater. 
Today, Visakhapatnam is a center for higher education and modern development. It hosts several prestigious institutions, including Andhra University and the Indian Institute of Management.
