A virtue is a good way to act. It is part of who you are. A vice is a bad way to act. It is also part of your character.

Some thinkers say virtues help us live well. This helps a person feel happy. It helps them flourish. This is a big goal for many.

Being good means thinking and feeling well. It means knowing the right thing to do. It also means feeling the right way.

Old thinkers like Aristotle wrote about this. He said we use our minds to be good. We can practice being good every day.
