He lived in Italy a long time ago. He studied how to sing and play the violin.

Albinoni wrote many operas, which are plays with music. He claimed to write 81 of them! Most of these are lost today. However, his music for instruments is still famous. He wrote many sonatas and concertos. A concerto is a piece for a solo instrument and an orchestra. He was one of the first to use the oboe as a solo instrument. The oboe is a wood instrument with a bright sound.

Great musicians liked his work. Johann Sebastian Bach even used Albinoni's ideas to write his own music. Some people know him for a piece called "Adagio in G minor." Some think a man named Remo Giazotto wrote it later. But new finds suggest it may be based on old music.

Albinoni did not work for a king or a church. He had his own money to make music. He died in Venice in 1751. He was 79 years old.
