William Blake wrote a famous poem called "The Tyger."

He published it in 1794. It was part of a book called "Songs of Experience." This book showed two sides of the human soul. One side is soft and innocent. The other side is full of experience.

The poem is about a fierce animal. It uses words about fire and bright eyes. Blake asks many questions about the tiger. He asks, "Who made thee?" He wants to know who could make such a scary creature. The poem asks what tools were used to make it. It also asks if the maker was afraid.

"The Tyger" is like a sister to another poem. That poem is called "The Lamb." One poem is about a gentle lamb. The other is about a wild tiger. Blake shows how both are part of life.

Many people love this poem today. Many musicians have made songs based on it. Some use pianos. Others use big groups of instruments called orchestras. Even rock bands have used its ideas. The poem stays important because it makes us think.
