This article covers sensitive topics: religion. Parents can manage visibility in Parental Controls.

In some faiths, people find hidden things. These people are called tertöns. Long ago, teachers hid special books and objects. They wanted to help people in the future.

A tertön finds these treasures at the right time. They might find them in rocks or water. Some find them in their own minds. These treasures can be books or even statues.

Many tertöns were followers of a teacher named Padmasambhava. Some women have been tertöns, too. They find these things to teach new ways to pray. It is a very special job.
