The pain often feels like it is pressing or tightening. It usually hits both sides of the head. You might also feel it in your neck or eyes. These headaches can last from 30 minutes to 7 days.

Many things can cause these headaches. Stress and worry are common causes. Problems with sleep or being young can also play a role. Some people get them if they do not drink enough water.

There are two main kinds of these headaches. The first kind is episodic. This means they happen only sometimes. The second kind is chronic. This means they happen for 15 days or more each month.

Doctors can help people feel better. Some people take medicine like paracetamol or ibuprofen. For chronic pain, doctors might use tricyclic antidepressants. These are medicines that help prevent the pain from coming back. Staying hydrated and doing neck exercises can also help. Good posture might even help prevent them.
