Taxine B
Taxine B

It stays green all year. This tree has thin, reddish bark. It also has dark green leaves.

The tree grows small red berries. These berries are sweet to eat. But be careful! The rest of the tree is bad for you. You should not eat the leaves or seeds.

Long ago, people used the wood for bows. They also used it for music. Some yew trees are very old. They can grow in churchyards.

Birds like to eat the red berries. The seeds go into the bird's waste. This helps new trees grow in new places.
