Many people play it together. They use an orchestra to make sound.

An orchestra has many tools. Some use strings. Others use brass or wood. Some use drums. There can be 30 to 100 musicians!

A symphony often has four parts. These parts are called movements. Some parts are fast. Other parts are slow.

Musicians read music from a page. This page is called a score. It tells everyone what to play.

Some symphonies even have singers. This makes the music very special. It is a grand way to make sound.
