South Park is a famous cartoon for adults.

It was made by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. They started with two short films. One of those films became a very popular video on the early internet. This helped them start the TV show in 1997.

The show is set in a snowy town in Colorado. It follows four boys named Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny. The boys often deal with strange or wild events. They sometimes act as the voice of reason when adults act silly. The show uses satire. This means it uses humor to mock many different topics like politics and religion. The creators want to make people laugh by showing all sides of a story.

Making the show is very fast. The first episode used paper cutouts. Now, the team uses computers to animate the characters.
