Jackass is a famous American comedy show.

It began on MTV in the year 2000. The show was made by Jeff Tremaine, Spike Jonze, and Johnny Knoxville. It features a group of friends doing silly stunts. They also play pranks on each other and the public. These stunts often cause pain.

Some people thought the show was too risky. They worried that kids might try to copy the stunts. Because of this, the show had many warnings. A skull and crutches logo appeared on the screen. This logo told viewers the stunts were dangerous.

Even with the worry, Jackass became very popular. It grew into a huge media franchise. This includes six movies and even video games. The crew also made spin-off shows like Wildboyz. The show is a big part of TV history from the 2000s. It even won a spot on a list of new TV classics.
