They often cover your ankles or calves. People wear them under shoes or boots. Socks help in many ways. They soak up sweat from your feet. This keeps your feet dry. They also protect your shoes from sweat. This helps your shoes last longer. In cold weather, thick socks keep you warm. This can stop frostbite.
