life science Maturity 5-7 Next article →

A sheep and a goat can have a baby. This baby is a mix of both. These babies are very rare.

Most of these babies do not live. This happens because sheep and goats are different. One parent has 54 parts in its cells. The other parent has 60 parts.

Some babies do live. One baby had 57 parts in its cells. This was right in the middle. It had a thick coat. It also had long legs.

In one place, a baby was born in 2020. Her name was Barunka. She lived in the Czech Republic.

It is hard to tell them apart. They can look like one or the other. It is a very special thing to see.
