Long ago, science teaching was different. In the 1800s, a man named William Sharp taught science in a British school. In the United States, science was not always the same for every student. In 1892, a group called the Committee of Ten met. They wanted to make a plan for high school. They wanted science to help students do well in life. Today, many teachers use active learning. This means students learn by doing things. It helps them understand how science works in real life.
