S.H.E

S.H.E is a famous Mandopop girl group from Taiwan. Mandopop is a style of pop music sung in Mandarin. The group has three members named Selina Jen, Hebe Tien, and Ella Chen.

Before they became stars, they lived together in a dormitory. This helped them build great chemistry as a team. Their first album was called Girls' Dorm, released on September 11, 2001. The title came from their memories of living in that dorm. It was a big success, selling 150,000 copies in Taiwan. It also sold 750,000 copies throughout Asia.

Making music was a busy way of life for the trio. They recorded 13 albums during their time together.

Their second album, Youth Society, came out in early 2002. It sold over 1.25 million copies in Asia. Their third album, Genesis, followed just six months later. That album sold over 1.75 million copies in Asia. Some of their albums were even more successful. The compilation album Together sold over 2 million copies. Later, the album Once Upon a Time also sold more than two million copies.

S.H.E has a long and interesting history. They were managed by HIM International Music for many years. In 2001, they were known as S.H.E Girl Friends. They later changed their name to simply S.H.E.

Before they started, they even used different English names. Selina was called Cola, Hebe was Anita, and Ella was Water. They stayed active for more than a decade. In 2019, they decided not to renew their contract. This was because they started their own management company.

Success for the group meant many different things. They did more than just record songs in a studio. S.H.E acted in seven drama series. They also hosted two variety shows. They even contributed ten songs to six different drama soundtracks.

Their music reached many people through huge concert tours. The Fantasy Land Tour started in Taipei in 2004. The Moving Castle world tour began in Shanghai in 2006. That tour was very popular and attracted 200,000 fans. It earned NT$200 million in gate receipts in just five months.

People love S.H.E because of their many talents. They are known for their hard work and skill. Fans praised their ability to hit high notes while dancing.

Their album Super Star included a pop/rock song. That song stayed on the Singapore music charts for ten weeks. They also worked with other famous artists. The star Jay Chou even wrote a song for them. This helped S.H.E become a legend in the music world. Their total album sales have reached more than 10 million.
