In AD 43, a new leader named Claudius sent soldiers to stay. This was a big invasion. The Romans fought many tribes to take control.

Some people fought back against the Romans. A queen named Boudica led a large revolt. She and her people fought the Romans in the southeast. The Romans won a hard battle to stop them.
