Sometimes things look blurry.

Refractive error
Refractive error

This happens when light does not land right in your eye. The shape of your eye can change how you see.

If your eye is too long, far things look blurry. If your eye is too short, close things look blurry. Some eyes are just a different shape. This can make things look stretched out.

Getting older can also change how your eyes work. This makes it hard to see things up close.

Doctors can check your eyes with special tools.

They can help you see clearly again.

You can wear glasses to help. Some people use contact lenses too. These tools bend the light so you can see well.
