Radio hosts do many different jobs. Some talk about news or the weather. Others talk about sports. Some hosts interview famous guests. They might even take calls from people listening at home. In the past, DJs helped make new songs popular. They had a big influence on what music people heard.

Today, many stations use computers to play music. These computers use a set of steps to play files. This is called automation. Some hosts also post news on the internet. This helps them connect with their fans.

To do this job, you need a clear voice. You must be good at talking to people. You also need to think fast. Some hosts study at college to learn. They might study journalism or English. After they learn to use their voice, they can work on movies too.
