On TV, news shows can be short or last for hours. Some shows talk about world news. Others focus on local news. Some channels show news 24 hours a day. These are called rolling news channels. Anchors are the people who present the stories. They often talk to reporters in the field. A reporter might be at a new location. This can happen during breaking news. Sometimes, a reporter is interviewed by an anchor. This is called a two-way.

Radio news is audio-only. This means you can only hear it. Many people listen to the radio while driving.

The internet has changed how we get news. You can pick just one story you want to see. This is called a la carte style. You can also find news from citizen journalists. These are people who report news on their own. They often use sites like YouTube to show their work.
