Radio was the first way to broadcast news. At first, people used it only for fun. Edward R. Murrow changed this. He reported on World War II from London. Many people relied on his voice to learn about the war. Later, TV became very popular. In 1963, the news of President Kennedy's death changed TV news. People could see the events as they happened. This made TV a very powerful tool.

Many people work to make a news show. News anchors sit at a desk. They read stories from a teleprompter. A teleprompter is a screen that shows words to read. Reporters go out into the field to find stories. They often work with a videographer. A videographer is a person who holds the camera.

Other workers help too. A director picks the camera shots. An audio technician handles the microphones and music. These teams work together to tell the news.
