math Maturity 11-13 Next article →

People use a unit called a pyeong. It measures the size of a floor. This unit is used in Korea. It is also used in Taiwan. In Japan, they use a similar unit.

A pyeong is about the size of a small room. An average house is 25 pyeong. A tiny room is about 8 to 12 pyeong. Even a very small attic uses it.

In Korea, the law says not to use it. But people still use it today. They use it to talk about homes. It helps them know how much space they have.
