Other workers use squibs to show bullet wounds. A squib is a small packet of fake blood. It pops to make a trick look real. People also use pyrotechnics for fire and big explosions. To make monsters, artists use masks or creature suits. They might even use puppets or animatronics. These are machines that move like living things. Some people use tiny models to look huge. This is called a miniature effect. These tricks use art and science. They mix crafts with engineering. This helps make movies feel very real to us.
