It has many different sounds and words.

One big change is how people say certain letters. In much of Spain, the letter "z" sounds like the "th" in the word "thing." This is not how people speak in the Americas. People in Spain also use a special word, "vosotros," to talk to a group of friends. In the Americas, people use different words for this.

Words can also have different meanings. For example, the word "coche" means a car in many places. But in Spain, it can also mean a cart. People in Spain also call a computer an "ordenador." In the Americas, they often say "computadora."

Different areas in Spain have their own styles too. People in the north and the south sound different. Some people even mix Spanish with other local languages. This makes the language very rich and interesting to learn!
