Black Sabbath made a famous music album called Paranoid.

It came out in 1970. Many people think it is one of the best metal albums ever. It helped start a new style of music.

The band worked hard to make their songs. They spent six weeks in Zurich, Switzerland.

They played many sets every single day. This helped them practice and learn. Most of their songs grew from playing together on stage.

The songs on the album tell many stories. "Iron Man" is about a man who turns into steel. "War Pigs" was first called "Walpurgis." The band changed the name to avoid trouble with the record company. The song "Paranoid" is about feeling very sad or worried. It was a big hit in the UK.

Some songs are loud and heavy. Others are very quiet. "Planet Caravan" is a calm song about floating through space.

The band used different tools to make these sounds. Even the drums, like in "Rat Salad," were part of their unique way of playing. This album stays important to music fans today.
