For a long time, they played at the Montreal Forum. The Canadiens are great at winning. They have won the Stanley Cup 24 times. This is more than any other team. In 1993, they were the last Canadian team to win it.

The team's colors are red, white, and blue. Their home shirts are mostly red. They have a 'C' and an 'H' on the front. The 'H' stands for hockey.

The team uses both English and French. This honors the French roots of Montreal. Many great players have worn their jerseys. Some of these players have their numbers retired. This means no one else can wear them. It shows great respect for their skill.
