In the past, military science was seen as a school subject. It was studied alongside physics and math. Long ago, officers had to do hard math to move troops. Later, new tools like the telephone changed how people talked during battles. This helped send messages much faster than a person on a horse.

New machines also changed how armies work. In the past, armies used horses. Later, they began to use tanks and planes. Even the way food and tools are moved became a science. This is called logistics. It helps make sure soldiers have what they need.

Today, military science uses new ideas. Some people use computers and artificial intelligence. This helps them study new ways to protect people. It is a way to use science to prepare for the future.
